IT all starts with an idea…
What if we can create a place where people can get together and have real, meaningful conversation and connect with individuals from down the street as well as around the world?
That’s the idea that this group was founded on, and an idea pursued by Ian as he’s (with the help of many others) built and grown a robust network of groups around the world. To pursue this goal, Ian leverages his background as an Air Force communicator and leader to create an inclusive environment and a variety of events and locations. To date he has personally hosted nearly three hundred events in ten different countries and touched the lives of thousands of people around the world. His ability to create a safe, fun and engaging experience for all those in attendance are what creates Thinkers & Drinkers — a unique and worthwhile experience across the entire inventory of events that are hosted each year. His adherence to openness, trust, vulnerability, inclusivity and diversity forge a strong foundation from which people of all race, colors, religions, ethnic backgrounds, sexual identities and ideologies can find connection in their communities and meaning in their relationships.
To date, Ian has facilitated the expansion of this group to eight cities in four different countries and built on the idea of bringing people together. In fact, there are at least three babies, four marriages, and dozens of strong, long-lasting couples that have formed within the group and there are more coming together each day.
It is through Ian’s unwavering dedication to the ideals on which this group was founded that continue to bring people together in all the Thinkers & Drinkers International regions, and continue to create a safe and fun space for people to connect.
